240px Jungle path in the Darién GapPeople of all sizes ask me, "Why can't I stop overeating and stick to a diet?"

*pix Your continual overeating can feel like you are lost in the jungle with no path out.

It's an especially poignant question when the person is overweight or obese. She's often dealing with cultural weight stigma, wants to lose weight for her health, her appearance or even her job security. Still she continues to eat more than her body needs for nourishment. Grey wolf
A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about
how he felt about a tragedy.

He said, 'I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart.
One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one.
The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one.'

The grandson asked him,
'Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?'

The grandfather answered,
'The one I feed.'
