Note to all on this thread. And I'll be writing this again in a more public place on my site. Everything about this website is devoted to recovery. Some of the content is direct and some indirect, but all of it is in the service of supporting health, awareness, new healing, and freedom from an eating disorder and all that goes with it. Personal arguments, attacks, acting out with members of my site will not be permitted by me. My criteria for any posting on my site, and that includes me, is that the post be in the service of recovery. We have a choice about where we put our energy and how we protect and nurture recovery. I find it fascinating and amazing that this issue comes up on the Family excerpt chapter of Healing Your Hungry Heart. The introductory quote is: “The last of the human freedoms is to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances.” --Victor Frankl My long time and permanent choice for my site is to keep discussions, articles, links, language, photos, i.e. everything, in recovery mode. Anything that I consider out of bounds I will delete.
