Dear Tracy, I echo Laura's comment about kittens. One kitten has so much power kitten energy it can drive you to distraction. But two kittens play off each other while you laugh. They grow up to be friends and keep each other company when no humans are there. I have two cats. I've had two cats for many years. It's a joy to see them interact, have their moods and take care of each other. And, they both love me and enjoy my attention and cuddles. Two kittens are really much easier and makes a happier household than one.
